The Department of Public Administration was established in the year 2006. At present the Department is conducting courses in B.A., M.A., M.Phil and PhD in Public Administration. The courses are designed keeping in view the latest developments in the discipline to prepare the students for competitive exams, as well as requirements of private sector. The department has qualified and committed faculty with rich teaching and research experience. The faculty members have published books both in English and Urdu and a number of articles have been contributed to reputed journals.

The Department is actively engaged in the research work, as several research scholars are working for their M.Phil and PhD programmes in areas such as Public Policy, Local Government, E-governance, women’s rights, child rights, minority rights and human rights and a number of research scholars have been awarded M.Phil and PhD degrees. Further, a number of students have qualified NET/SET exams and also awarded ICSSR and Maulana Azad National Fellowship for research.

The Department has organized National Seminars and several lectures by inviting experts from different fields on a number of emerging issues. The alumni of the Department are well placed in the Government as well as private sector.
