The capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow is the administrative headquarter of the state. It is situated on the banks of the river Gomti and is popularly known as the City of Nawabs. Lucknow has always been known for courtly manners, music, poetry, beautiful gardens, fine cuisine and architectural splendors.
The satellite campus of Maulana Azad National Urdu University in Lucknow is housed in C-9, H Park, Mahanagar Extension. Established in the year 2009, it is an emerging, full fledged campus offering full time regular MA course in the disciplines of English, Urdu, Persian and Arabic. The first batch of students passed out from this campus in 2011 and the subsequently the second in May 2012.
The University has also introduced Ph.D. program in all the available subjects at the campus. Extension lectures and Guest talks by eminent educationists is a regular activity of this campus. Apart from academics the campus buzzes with extra-curricular activities. The campus is equipped with its own library, which has a collection of more than five thousand books.
The campus is at a distance of about 7 kilometers from Charbagh railway station and about 25 kilometers from Chaudhari Charan Singh International airport. It is well connected with public transport. Private taxis can also be hired easily to reach the campus.
